Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway
Steamboat, OR
The 60 foot Steamboat Falls is split into three or four falls (depending upon how high Steamboat Creek is) all cascading off a wide shelf. This is a vigorous waterfall. There are a lot of large boulders around so you want to be very careful if you venture out on them. A fall could be lethal!
How to get to Steamboat Falls:
From Glide continue east on Hwy 138 to Steamboat and Forest Road #38. Turn left onto the Forest Road and follow it about 5.5 miles to Forest Road 3810. Turn right, cross the bridge (this is Steamboat Creek) continuing about 0.7 miles to the Steamboat Falls Campground.
The Steamboat Falls Overlook is a mere 50 feet from the parking lot.
