Oregon City OR
Is it natural or artificial? The Pacific Northwest’s largest (not highest) 42 foot high, one-quarter mile wide Willamette Falls is a natural rock formation over which the Willamette River roars. But, on top of this rock formation is a turn-of-the century concrete dam along the lip of Willamette Falls. We won’t review all the industrial uses of this powerful force of nature – just tell you how to find and view it.
How to get to Wilamette Falls:
From I-5 exit 288, take I-205 to Oregon City. There is a good scenic overlook at exit 7 but if you want a really good view continue on to exit 8, cross the Oregon City Bridge to OR-99-E, turn right and about one mile further you will see the official scenic overlook.
